good thing i'm always on the other end of that pitch, lol (since i'm a pitcher) but yeah, i dont see how jimmy rollins managed to get hit in the face, i mean, i can understand how a pitcher can get hit in the face by a line drive (its happened at least 3 times in the majors, knocked the guys teeth out) and i'v ebeen hit in the nose twice in my life, and the second time was just about as fun as the first time, lol

yeah its just as dangerous pitching, lol im a catcher but at least I get a face mask. obviously he wasnt paying attention, but things like that happen once in awhile I guess lol. once time my friend was playing third and he wasnt paying attention and a line drive came straight towards his face - basically smashed his face in but hes good now lol

yeah, not paying attention was my problem the first time i was 8 and i was doing relays in practice, and after i threw the ball to the first guy,(i was at the end) we were at my school and i was watching the lawn mowers,( the big ones that you drive ) ( they looked so big to me back then
but yeah, i hear someone call my name and i turn around and BAM! right in my face, hit me flush on the nose, and my nose bled for at least 8 or 10 minutes, and my coach told my parents that he had never seen someone bleed so much, lol, and the second time came a few years ago when i was 14, i was playing some catch with my dad at this local field, and i had a huge first basemens mitt, and i put it right in front of my face, which was a bad idea, so i lost track of the ball, and it somehow tipped the top of the glove and hit me in the noce again, which still eludes my knowledge of how in the world it maaged to hit my face, but yeah, lol, i havent played any organized baseball since i was 8, i think that one inccedent scared me, but then i got back into baseball in the last 5 years, now i only have 2 years left to try and make my high school team, it ain't easy, lol, but yeah, i think i might make it this year, i hope so anyways

and I learned the hard way how to pay attention many times too
Good times... I used to play short stop when I was 5 and I would start
making smiley daces in the dirt with the tip of my toe lol. then the
ball would be hit toward me and I would have no clue where to throw it
or how many outs there were or anything... but at least I played with
other 5 year olds and the ball wouldn't be hit too hard... but the coaches
treated me differently because I was a girl good luck with your
baseball season and I hope you make the team
